Eddie Howe has made one change to his Newcastle United starting XI ahead of the Magpies' Premier League away encounter at West Ham United on Sunday afternoon (kick-off 2pm BST).

The Magpies travel to the London Stadium this afternoon targeting a fourth consecutive victory in the English top-flight as well as seeking a sixth clean sheet in their previous seven competitive fixtures.

With Anthony Gordon serving a one-match suspension after picking up a fifth yellow card of the season against Burnley last weekend, Anderson is the only alteration from the starting line-up which claimed an excellent 4-1 win against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night, with the Whitley Bay-born youngster set for his fourth consecutive Premier League start.

Nick Pope continues in-between the sticks behind a four-man defence including Kieran Trippier, Jamaal Lascelles - who makes his 230th competitive appearance for the Magpies this afternoon - as well as Fabian Schär and Dan Burn, who both scored in the Magpies’ enthralling Champions League triumph over PSG.

Bruno Guimarães, who signed a new five-year contract with the Magpies on Saturday, is situated in the middle of the park alongside Sean Longstaff and Sandro Tonali, with Miguel Almirón and Anderson aiming to provide attacking support on the respective flanks for Alexander Isak, who scored an impressive lob against the Hammers in a 5-1 win at the London Stadium back in April.

Callum Wilson, who has netted 12 times in his last 13 outings against West Ham, has been named on the substitutes’ bench along with Jacob Murphy and Matt Ritchie.

Tino Livramento, Paul Dummett, Matt Targett, Lewis Hall and Javier Manquillo could also be deployed if required by Howe while Martin Dúbravka is the substitute goalkeeper.
