Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has named the same starting 11 for the second Premier League game in succession as his side take on Everton on Saturday (kick-off 5:30pm BST).

The Magpies drew 1-1 with Manchester City a week ago and head coach Howe has opted to field the same side which held the champions, despite having made eight alterations to his team for the 1-0 Carabao Cup victory over AFC Wimbledon in midweek.

That means Nick Pope is in goal at Goodison Park on what is likely to be United's final trip to the Toffees' current home, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn and Lewis Hall forming a back four.

Sandro Tonali lines up again in midfield, alongside Bruno Guimarães and Joelinton, with Harvey Barnes and Jacob Murphy providing support from the flanks for frontman - and former Toffee - Anthony Gordon.

Miguel Almirón, Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock are all among the substitutes, along with forward Will Osula and defenders Tino Livramento, Emil Krafth and Lloyd Kelly.

Goalkeepers Odysseas Vlachodimos and John Ruddy are also on the bench.
