Team news from St. James' Park ahead of Sunday's visit of Spurs

Midfielder Longstaff comes in for winger Anthony Gordon in the only change to the Magpies' line-up from last weekend's defeat at Aston Villa, with Joelinton set to move from the engine room to the left flank as head coach Eddie Howe shuffles his pack for the visit of Cristian Stellini's men.

Nick Pope will start in goal, with Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schär, Sven Botman and Dan Burn continuing at the back, with Longstaff, Bruno Guimarães and Joe Willock lining up in the middle of the park.

Joelinton and Jacob Murphy will play on the left and right wings respectively, with Alexander Isak again leading the line for fourth-placed Newcastle.

There is firepower on the Magpies' bench in the form of Callum Wilson, while Gordon and Miguel Almirón also represent attacking options for Howe to utilise.

Javier Manquillo, Jamaal Lascelles, Matt Targett and Matt Ritchie are also among the substitutes, along with goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka and midfielder Elliot Anderson.
