Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has named an unchanged side for the visit of Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon (3pm kick-off).

United face Graham Potter's Seagulls at St. James' Park hoping to make it eight Premier League games unbeaten, and secure a fifth win in six in the process.

And the Magpies head coach has opted to keep faith with the side which beat Brentford 2-0 last weekend, meaning the fit-again Allan Saint-Maximin, January signing Bruno Guimarães and captain Jamaal Lascelles are consigned to the bench.

Martin Dúbravka continues between the sticks, with Emil Krafth, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn and Matt Targett in defence.

The in-form trio of Joe Willock, Jonjo Shelvey and Joelinton line up once again in the middle of the park.

And Newcastle's attack will be spearheaded by Chris Wood, with Ryan Fraser and Jacob Murphy looking to provide the ammunition from the right and left flanks respectively.

It is a strong-looking bench for the hosts, with Guimarães, Lascelles and Saint-Maximin all included.

There is further defensive backup in the form of Javier Manquillo, Federico Fernández and Paul Dummett, with Sean Longstaff and Miguel Almirón also named.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow and frontman Dwight Gayle complete the list of substitutes available to Howe.

Newcastle United: Martin Dúbravka; Emil Krafth, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn, Matt Targett; Joe Willock, Jonjo Shelvey, Joelinton; Ryan Fraser, Chris Wood, Jacob Murphy.

Substitutes: Karl Darlow, Javier Manquillo, Paul Dummett, Sean Longstaff, Miguel Almirón, Allan Saint-Maximin, Dwight Gayle.
