Martin Dúbravka will make his first Premier League appearance of the season against Leicester City at St. James' Park.

The Slovakia shot-stopper comes in for Nick Pope, who has an injury. Dúbravka has made 164 appearances for the Magpies since signing from Sparta Prague in 2018, but only one this term - when he kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 Carabao Cup win over AFC Wimbledon, although he came off at half time that night due to injury.

Eddie Howe has made two further changes to his starting XI, with Sandro Tonali and Anthony Gordon replacing Sean Longstaff and former Leicester man Harvey Barnes, who scored in the 4-2 defeat at Brentford last weekend.

Dúbravka will play behind a defence consisting of Tino Livramento, Fabian Schär, Dan Burn and Lewis Hall, with Tonali joining Joelinton and captain Bruno Guimarães in midfield. Gordon and Jacob Murphy support Alexander Isak in attack.

Odysseas Vlachodimos is the substitute goalkeeper with Kieran Trippier, Matt Targett, William Osula, Miguel Almirón, Lloyd Kelly, Joe Willock joining Barnes and Longstaff on the bench.
