Anthony Taylor will referee Newcastle United's Premier League game at Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

The Magpies head to the City Ground (kick-off 2pm GMT) looking for a third win in succession, following the impressive 2-0 Carabao Cup victory over Chelsea and the 1-0 Premier League triumph over Arsenal.

Wythenshawe whistler Taylor is the man in the middle for the game, which will be his 12th outing of the campaign so far. The majority of those have come in the top flight, with a couple of European fixtures - in the Europa League and the Champions League - under his belt too.

The 46-year-old is one of the continent's most prominent officials, having been a regular in the Premier League since 2010. He has also been a FIFA-listed official for the past 11 years, and has a League Cup final, FA Cup final, UEFA Super Cup final, UEFA Europa League final and UEFA Nations League final on his CV, as well as being part of refereeing teams at the 2020 and 2024 European Championships and the 2022 World Cup.
