Woodman and Armstrong help England reach the FIFA Under-20 World Cup final

Freddie Woodman and Adam Armstrong are both part of the Young Lions squad - led by former Newcastle assistant coach Paul Simpson - which secured a first World Cup final appearance at any level for England since 1966.

Woodman started in goal in Thursday's semi-final while Armstrong - who scored in the Young Lions' opening group game against Argentina - was an unused substitute.

Liverpool new boy Dominic Solanke scored twice with Everton's Ademola Lookman also on target in Jeonju - all after England had fallen behind to Riccardo Orsolini's goal in only the second minute.

It was only the second time Woodman had conceded in the tournament.

In 2014, Woodman and Armstrong helped England lift the UEFA European Under-17 Championships in Malta.

England will meet Venezuela - who defeated Uruguay on penalties earlier in the day - in Sunday's final.
