The young Magpies were due to face their Blades counterparts at Bramall Lane on Monday, 28th November, with kick-off set at 3pm (GMT).

However, the Group E encounter will now take place at Glanford Park, home of National League outfit Scunthorpe United, with the date and kick-off time remaining the same.

United's second-string, who reached the Premier League Cup final in 2019 before losing to Everton at Goodison Park, currently sit in fourth place of their group involving Sheffield United, Crystal Palace and Bristol City.

The top two sides in the group will gain qualification to the last-16 of the competition.
