United’s second-string were due to face the Railwaymen, who currently occupy fifth spot in the English fourth tier, on Tuesday, 14th November at the Mornflake Stadium, with kick-off set at 7pm (GMT).
However, due to Crewe requiring an Emirates FA Cup first round replay against Derby County following a 2-2 draw last weekend, the Northern Group B encounter will now take place on Tuesday, 21st November.
Kick-off will now take place at 7.45pm (GMT) with the venue remaining the same.
Newcastle’s youngsters, sitting in third place of their respective group, are unable to progress into the knockout stages of the competition after suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat against Wrexham before losing on penalties to Port Vale following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes at Vale Park.
