Craig Pawson will be the referee for Newcastle United's Premier League visit of West Ham United on Monday night (kick-off 8pm GMT).

Eddie Howe's side welcome the Hammers to St. James' Park, aiming for a third Premier League victory in succession after triumphs over Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, and this will be third time Pawson has officiated a fixture involving the Magpies this term.

The Sheffield-born whistler was the man in the middle for Newcastle's opening Premier League fixture of the 2024/25 season, notably sending off United defender Fabian Schär during a 1-0 win against newly-promoted Southampton, as well as booking six players that afternoon, including Dan Burn and Lewis Hall.

A FIFA listed referee since 2015, Pawson also took charge of Newcastle's goalless draw against Everton at Goodison Park in October, awarding a penalty to the visitors which was missed by former Toffees forward Anthony Gordon, whilst handing out three yellow cards that evening, booking Hall and Schär.

In the nine games Pawson has officiated so far this term, the 45-year-old has shown a total of 39 yellow cards and two red cards.
