Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak's stunning strike against Liverpool has been shortlisted for December's Guinness Goal of the Month award.

The Sweden international is in the running for the Premier League gong thanks to his 20-yarder against the league leaders, which put the Magpies 1-0 up in the eventual 3-3 draw at St. James' Park at the start of the month.

It was a sensational effort from the 25-year-old, who has been in outstanding form for United over the last month, netting eight goals in his last six outings to help propel Eddie Howe's side up to fifth in the table.

He is nominated for the award alongside Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood, Brighton' Tariq Lamptey, Manchester United's Amad Diallo, Enes Unal of Bournemouth, Cole Palmer of Chelsea and Wolves' Matheus Cunha.

Voting will close at 11am GMT on Monday, 6th January. Newcastle United supporters can vote for Isak by clicking here and the winner will be announced on Friday, 10th January.
