Newcastle United forward Alexander Isak has won the Premier League's Guinness Goal of the Month award for December thanks to his stunning strike against Liverpool.

The in-form Sweden international - who has netted 14 goals in his last 15 games for the Magpies - has picked up the gong following a public vote.

The 25-year-old's sensational effort against the league leaders, arrowed into the roof of the net from just outside the box, put the Magpies 1-0 up in the eventual 3-3 draw at St. James' Park at the start of last month.

Isak saw off fellow nominees in the shape of Nottingham Forest's Chris Wood, Brighton's Tariq Lamptey, Manchester United's Amad Diallo, Enes Unal of Bournemouth, Cole Palmer of Chelsea and Wolves' Matheus Cunha to pick up the prize - and make it two awards for his December exploits, having earlier picked up the EA Sports Player of the Month award.
