The 23-year-old, who has 14 caps for Italy and captained his country during this summer's UEFA Under-21 European Championships, has agreed a contract at St. James' Park initially until 2028.After flying in with his representatives and family, Tonali viewed some potential properties before visiting the club's Darsley Park Training Centre to take in his new surroundings, meet staff and complete paperwork - as well as being pictured for the first time in a black and white shirt.
There were more photographs at St. James' Park the following morning, with the midfielder enjoying a tour of the dressing room and tunnel areas before completing his first interview with NUFC TV.
He also caught up with head coach Eddie Howe, sporting director Dan Ashworth and new team-mate Kieran Trippier at the training ground, and he was followed throughout by club photographer Serena Taylor, who brought nufc.co.uk this behind-the-scenes gallery.
