Becky Langley's side raced into a two-goal lead inside 14 minutes at Kingston Park courtesy of Shania Hayles' clinical brace before Katie Bradley halved the deficit shortly after the restart for the Addicks.

Hayles regained Newcastle's two-goal cushion from the penalty spot, completing her first professional hat-trick in the process, before late drama unfolded as United skipper Amber-Keegan Stobbs was sent off, picking up a second yellow card after delaying the restart, before stoppage-time strikes from Kayleigh Barton and Bradley denied the hosts back-to-back league wins.
