The 22-year-old right back joined the club in January 2023 from West Ham United and made sixteen appearances in all competitions last season while on loan with Swansea City in the Championship.

Ashby was with the first-team squad this summer for training camps in Germany and Japan, featuring for 45 minutes against Yokohama F. Marinos, and will now spend the remainder of the campaign in the second tier with QPR.
