The Toon teenagers, who reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious competition last term, booked their place in the last 16 following a dramatic 3-2 win over Colchester United at St. James' Park on Monday night.
Ellis Sullivan's own goal and second-half strikes from Callum McNally and Michael Ndiweni saw the hosts race into a commanding lead before being pegged back in the closing stages, through goals from Samson Tovide and Tiazo Marcel-Dilaver, but Peter Ramage's side held firm to prevail in a five-goal thriller.
Newcastle's youngsters, who last won the FA Youth Cup back in 1985, will now face a fifth round tie away at Blackpool, who defeated Huddersfield Town and Cheltenham Town in their respective rounds.
A date, venue and kick-off time will be confirmed in due course.
