The Sela Cup is up for grabs once more at St. James' Park this weekend, as the pre-season tournament returns to Tyneside for the second time as part of The Sela Weekender.

Newcastle United hosted the inaugural Sela Cup last summer, lifting the trophy after a 2-0 win over Fiorentina and a 4-0 thrashing of Villarreal.

And they will bid to do the same again when football returns to St. James' Park on Friday and Saturday, with Eddie Howe's side taking on Spanish outfit Girona FC on Friday evening (kick-off 7:30pm BST) to get the weekend under way. That match is a friendly, with the silverware to be determined the following day.

On Saturday, Newcastle United Women will take on AC Milan Women, with kick-off set for 1pm BST, before the Magpies' men's team face Stade Brestois at 4pm BST. The winners of both games on Saturday will lift the Sela Cup, with penalty shoot-outs set to decide the victors should the scores be level at full time.

Both trophy presentations will take place after the conclusion of United men's clash with Ligue 1 side Brest.
