Mike Dean will be the man in the middle for Newcastle United's Premier League encounter against Manchester United at St. James' Park this Sunday.

The Wirral-based official has already taken charge of a game involving the Magpies this term, showing four yellow cards in Newcastle's 1-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur in August.

Dean has dished out a total of 23 bookings and two red cards in six top flight fixtures this season, sending off Southampton's Kevin Danso in a 1-1 draw against Manchester United and West Ham's Arthur Masuaku in the Hammers' goalless draw at Aston Villa in September.

The 51-year-old last officiated a game at St. James' Park back in December 2018, sending off defender DeAndre Yedlin in United's 2-1 defeat against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On Sunday, he will be assisted by Ian Hussin and Darren Cann while Lee Mason will be the fourth official. Andre Marriner will take up the role of video assistant referee.
