The date and venue for Newcastle United Under-18s' FA Youth Cup fourth round tie at home to Arsenal has been confirmed.

The Toon teenagers booked their place in round four of the prestigious competition following a 3-2 comeback win against Charlton Athletic at The Valley, courtesy of Ben Parkinson's brace and Johnny Emerson's winner.

Graeme Carrick's side have been rewarded with a home draw against Arsenal, managed by former Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere, and the tie will take place at Whitley Park on Tuesday, 17th January. Kick-off is set at 7pm (GMT).

United's youngsters reached the fifth round of the FA Youth Cup last term, defeating the likes of West Ham United and Colchester United before their run was ended by Blackpool and also advanced to the quarter-finals of the tournament in 2020/21 before losing out to eventual winners Aston Villa at St. James' Park.

The young Magpies will be aiming to lift the trophy for a third time in the club's history after tasting success in 1962 before a side including Geordie midfielder Paul Gascoigne lifted the cup in 1985.

Admission for Tuesday's FA Youth Cup tie at Whitley Park is £3 for adults and £1 concessions. Please note there is no free entry for season ticket holders.
