Newcastle United's Fan Advisory Board (FAB) is recruiting for a disability fan representative.

The anticipated start date for the role, which has a two-year tenure, is early 2025 and will form part of the FAB, which is made up of nine supporter representatives.

Formed at the end of 2023, the FAB meets with senior club officials three times per season, playing a key role in delivering the club's Fan Engagement Plan.

The representative will be part of the group which helps the club gain feedback and communicate on a wide range of topics including the strategic vision and objectives, business operations, the stadium, key matchday issues, any relevant heritage items, community activities and the club's equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) commitments.

Sporting and on-field issues will not form part of proposals.

Applicants for the position would be expected to also be in regular communication with the other FAB representatives, as well as a point of contact for Newcastle United Disabled Supporters Association (NUDSA), to address any feedback from the supporter group.

How to apply

To apply for a position, supporters must complete this online FAB application form by 5pm on Sunday, December 1st 2024.

If you require any specific assistance in filling out the application form, or require an alternative means of applying, please email [email protected] for assistance.

All applicants must be aged 18 years or over.

The club actively encourages applications from supporters across all protected characteristics.

Please read the FAB Terms of Reference and Code of Conduct before submitting your application form.

What will happen next?

A shortlisting process will be carried out by a Fan Advisory Board selection panel, which will consist of two non-Newcastle United representatives and one club representative and will be supported by Newcastle United's EDI Lead.

In-person interviews will then be held for suitable candidates on Monday, 9th December at St. James' Park, or online for those further afield.
