The Famous Last Words star is notoriously mysterious and private - he wears a mask to retain his anonymity and rarely gives interviews. But he was proud to collaborate on the new adidas Originals x Newcastle United range, which dropped at 9am on Friday.
The limited edition clothing provides a modern twist on some of the much-loved classic styles of the 1990s, when Kevin Keegan's Entertainers, featuring icons like Alan Shearer and David Ginola, became arguably the most exciting team to watch in the country.
Casisdead - one of the most influential figures in grime music - grew up watching that thrilling Magpies side and, after winning the BRIT for the best Hip Hop/Rap/Grime Act earlier this year, he was the perfect choice to collaborate with adidas and Newcastle United on the range.
Asked what made him fall in love with the club, Cas - whose genre-shaping discography includes the track Leon Best - said: "I wasn't given much choice. There was only one club I was going to be allowed to support. This was the place; special.
"I've seen things you won't believe. Shearer scoring again and again. Ginola. Unstoppable. I can hear the passion, man.
"It runs in the blood."
The new adidas Originals x Newcastle United range features unique Trefoil designs, including an all-new teal-hued kit accompanied by stripped hoodies and tracksuits.
The range is on sale now in the club store at St. James' Park, adidas stores and online at shop.newcastleunited.com.
