The 18-year-old defender joined the Magpies ahead of the 2022/23 season, a campaign in which she established herself as a regular after joining from local rivals Sunderland.

Despite being injured for much of last season, Burt made eight appearances for the club in all competitions before ending the season on loan at Middlesbrough, joining the FA Women's National League Division One North side in February.

On Burt's loan move to the FA Women's National League side, manager Becky Langley said: "Daisy is a young player and a great girl with a bright future. Playing senior football at Derby County will only further accelerate her development and we feel that it is a great move for everyone involved."
