Miguel Almirón's stunning volley against Fulham has been nominated for the Budweiser Premier League Goal of the Month award for October.

Almirón completed an excellent month in front of goal for the Magpies after netting six times in as many Premier League matches, resulting in a Premier League Player of the Month nomination along with Bruno Guimarães and Kieran Trippier.

His first strike of an impressive goalscoring streak in October came at Craven Cottage during a 4-0 victory, doubling the visitors' lead in style after volleying the ball into the far left-hand corner following Guimarães' lofted pass before notching his second goal of the game in the second-half.

The in-form forward features on an eight-man shortlist for October's prize, which includes the likes of Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne, Arsenal's Thomas Partey, Chelsea's Conor Gallagher, Antony of Manchester United, Everton's Dwight McNeil, and Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans.

Almirón is looking to become only the second Paraguayan to win the award and the first since former Blackburn Rovers and Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz in 2007.

Supporters can now vote for the goal here, with voting closing at 12pm (GMT) on Monday, 7th November.
