The young Magpies travel to the the Baggies' training ground in Walsall (kick-off 1pm) and chase a third successive win in division two against the Baggies.
Allan has netted three times in his last three games and is eager to extend his record in front of goal, with the forward, who celebrates his 20th birthday on the day of the away clash, needing one more to equal his goalscoring record from last term in all competitions.
The 20-year-old told nufc.co.uk: "We've won the last two games but there's still a lot to improve on. We're still conceding a few goals so we'll try to rectify that and make sure we can keep scoring at the other end. Everyone is pulling in the same direction so it's going well.
"I try and improve on my finishing as much as I can but I think it's more of a confidence thing. I think last year I was a bit shy of taking shots and this year I've got nothing to lose so it's going well and I hope it carries on.
"We didn't start very well but the main thing is helping the team and if we can keep winning games and I can help that, then it's all going well.
"I think it was a bit hard at the start of the season as there were a few new faces as well as a new manager. It was going to take a while to try and get things going, but hopefully that's all sorted now and we can kick on.
After defeating Norwich City last week in a five-goal thriller at Whitley Park, United's second-string currently sit in ninth position but can move into sixth with an away victory against Albion.
And Allan, who scored the match winner against the Canaries along with strikes from United's Rosaire Longelo and Luke Charman, is hopeful Newcastle can replicate a similar performance against West Brom in order to advance further up the league ladder.
He added: "I checked two weeks ago and we were near the bottom of the table but it is still very tight and hopefully we can keep getting more wins, climb higher up the table and try to fix our goal difference.
"We were flying out of the blocks against Norwich, straight on the front foot and pressing well. It's probably what we didn't do against Macclesfield (in the Leasing.com Trophy) as we set back.
"That's what Neil (Redfearn) has been trying to push into us now, trying to get forward and win it higher up the pitch. It's exactly what we done against Norwich and we just need to cut the silly mistakes out and the goals we concede.
"Neil always says give it to the match winners and they'll win the game for you. Rosaire (Longelo) has scored a wonder goal, Luke (Charman) is an out and out goalscorer and I'm contributing at the minute.
"Anybody can score on the day. Everyone has got the quality to do so - it's just about who is on the pitch to do it and we'll believe in anyone."
