Newcastle United returned to Premier League action with a win, thanks to goals from Alexander Isak and Sandro Tonali against Brentford.
Tonali was the star of the show, with his 74th minute wonder goal from an acute angle enough to secure three points for the Magpies.
In his own words, the goal was "70% cross, 30% shot", but Newcastle fans weren't complaining, as he ran out a huge winner in the supporters’ Player of the Match vote across newcastleunited.com and the Official Newcastle United App.
The Italian midfielder earned 84% of the vote for his performance, with the goal his second of the 2024-25 season.
Kieran Trippier came second in the Player of the Match poll with 10% of the vote, while Isak and Dan Burn shared third place with 3% each.
