All four education partners welcome applicants globally and from all financial backgrounds, however only some of the institutions can accept applications from students in receipt of sponsorship (i.e., sponsored students from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). Each institution in our partnership has a full breakdown of the which students they accept on their website where they also outline students’ payment schedules as this varies vary by institution.

A deposit will be due prior to your arrival at your chosen institution. Once you begin your studies, payment of the remaining amount will be due – this can be taken in two instalments or as a one-off payment.
Yes, if you are under 18 when you begin your academic programme, your chosen institution will provide additional support for you including guidance and advice for personal, professional and academic issues, among other things.
Yes. Your academic studies and the Football & Sports Leadership Programme are separate from one another. However, students must be enrolled in an academic programme with one of our partners to join the Newcastle United Football & Sports Leadership Programme.
Students can choose from a wide range of academic courses across all four education partners at Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. Available courses will vary by institution so please be sure to visit the website of each partner for course availability.

As this programme is an extra-curricular activity, you will be awarded with a certificate in recognition of your attendance on completion of your programme. This is in addition to your diploma.
The programme is not currently accredited, however you will gain valuable experience during your time spent on programme. Skills you will build include improving leadership, communication, teamwork and resilience – all of which contribute to your employability in the future. The Newcastle United Football & Sports Leadership Programme can also be added to your CV to demonstrate your commitment to attending extra-curricular activity.
The Newcastle United Football & Sports Leadership Programme is not aimed at equipping students to become professional players. However, you will gain a greater understanding of how a professional football club operates with insight into all aspects of club activity.
Experience of playing football is desirable, however it is not essential for students joining the Newcastle United Football & Sports Leadership Programme to currently be part of or to have previously been part of a team/club at any level. Sessions will be tailored to suit your playing ability.
Coaching staff are fully First Aid trained, and a physiotherapist will be present at all fixtures. Physiotherapists can be recommended to support rehabilitation.
